E85 for 85 Cents Per Gallon in Orange City, IA

Orange City, Iowa - Sinclair Hi-Way Service will be offering E85 for 85 cents a gallon to flexible fuel vehicle drivers during their  E85 grand opening event on October 29 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.  The event will be held at 206 8th Street SE in Orange City.

In addition to the E85 discount, the station will be serving homemade cookies  and coffee. Each flexible fuel vehicle  (FFV)  driver will receive a free laser car wash coupon when they fill up with renewable product.

“We are happy to offer E85 to our customers!  Sinclair Hi-Way Service is committed to help expand the renewable fuel market right here in NW Iowa,” said Scott Mulder, owner of Mulder Oil Company and the station.

E85 is a high-powered, clean-burning fuel that can be used  FFVs.  According to Iowa DOT reports, there are nearly 50,000 FFVs on the roads in Iowa today such as the Chevrolet Suburban, Ford Taurus, and Chrysler minivan.  Check your owner’s manual , inside your fuel door or visit www.E85Fuel.com to see if you can use this clean-burning, high-performing renewable fuel.

“With Iowa slated to be the number one ethanol producer in the nation in 2005 and 82 percent of our ethanol currently being shipped out to the coasts, the time is right for Iowa to work on establishing new markets for ethanol here at home,” said Christi Vander Voort, Iowa E85 Coordinator for the National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition.   Vander Voort will be available during the event to answer any questions about E85 and FFVs.

Sinclair Hi-Way Service is Iowa’s fourteenth E85 facility and is open daily to the public, state and federal vehicles.
