Support the Continued Growth of E85
Use in Minnesota

Please join the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest for the E85 Everywhere rally in the Minnesota State Capitol Rotunda this Friday, April 27, at 11:00 am.

Governor Tim Pawlenty and a bipartisan gathering of legislators from both the Minnesota Senate and Minnesota House of Representatives will speak on the importance of maintaining the lead in E85 development and on their support for the E85 Everywhere push.

E85 Everywhere is a public-private partnership which seeks to achieve 1,800 E85 fueling outlets in Minnesota over the next few years. The purpose is to help achieve the state's 20% ethanol-use goal, enacted by the 2005 legislature.

"We have proven E85 and flexible fuel vehicles are a viable alternative to gasoline; one of many choices we have that can combat global climate change and the ever-growing need for energy sources," stated Tim Gerlach, Vice President of Clean Fuels and Vehicle Technologies at American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest. We urge you to turn out this Friday and show your support for taking E85 Everywhere!  If you’re unavailable to attend the event, please contact Minnesota state government officials and urge them to support the continued growth of E85 in the state.  Following is a link to the MN State Legislature:  http://www.leg.state.mn.us/.For more details of the event, click on the flyer here or contact the American Lung Association of Minnesota at 651-227-8014 (www.CleanAirChoice.org).

The National Ethanol Vehicle Coalition is the nation’s primary advocate dedicated to the use of 85 percent ethanol as a form of alternative transportation fuel.   Issuance of this alert is supported by members of the NEVC and no federal funds are used.
