HERE'S WHAT NEVC MEMBERS ARE SAYING!
“We are interested in working in partnership with NEVC and its stakeholders to expand the market for E85 in Michigan. We believe the greatest obstacle challenging the growth of E85 is education, pricing and fuel availability.”
- Clean Energy Coalition Coordinator Sean Reed, 12/14/07 FYI Newsletter
“Our organization wanted to join the NEVC to help promote E85 to the general public and become know as a reseller of E85 for those folks who drive FFVs. We believe in alternative fuels and are looking forward to the new E85 plants being constructed in the Imperial Valley to start producing E85, thus (hopefully) reducing the cost of importing E85 to the West Coast which will make the pricing of E85 more competitive and more attractive to the retail public. There are plenty of FFVs on the road today, but few places to buy E85 in California and in San Diego County. I'm proud to be a member of the NEVC and look forward to promoting alternative fuels.”
- Frederick Reed of Bressi Ranch Fuel Mart, 11/20/07 FYI Newsletter
“We are on board, developing alternatives and believe in flex fuels as part of a solution for energy independence and reduced environmental impact.”
- Julie Galante-Fox of Delphi, 10/05/07 FYI Newsletter
“The NEVC is one of the many partners we need to work with to help change our fueling habits in the United States. As a long-standing partner, the NEVC helps in many ways to push ethanol forward as one of a suite of alternatives and options needed to reduce America's fueling footprint."
- Jonathan Overly of East Tennessee Clean Fuels, 8/31/07 FYI Newsletter
"We believe the United States and the world face a great energy challenge created by the convergence of three majors factors: 1. The rise in price of petroleum products driven by dwindling supply or at least higher-priced supply. 2. The need for environmentally-friendly substitutes for carbon-based fuels. 3. The need to diversify away from dependence on supply origins which will remain less than secure. Therefore, E85 and FFV development can be an important part of the solution which addresses all three challenges. It is not necessary for ethanol to replace hydrocarbons entirely to garner a benefit. Ethanol need only compete alongside other fuels with a much smaller, but reasonable, market share."
- Laura Scott of Gulf Oil, 8/20/07 FYI Newsletter
“When helping our developer clients, we often recommend their projects include E85 pumps. The NEVC has helped us understand the technical and cost components involved with this type of undertaking. We always promote the use of alternative fuel vehicles, E85 and flexible-fuel vehicles.”
- Julie Sieving of Brendle Group, 8/03/07 FYI Newsletter
“The NEVC does an excellent job of promoting ethanol and is readily available to refute negative ethanol spin stories. We feel legislation at the federal level to increase the production of FFVs is needed for more retail stores to add E85 dispensing pumps. We feel legislation can best be achieved by forming coalitions with other associations such as the Renewable Fuels Association, National Corn Growers Association and American Ethanol Coalition. Combined efforts toward a common goal give more clout for potential legislative success."
